The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, is furious at how the board handled young fast bowler Ihsanullah’s injury.
Ihsan, 21, performed well in last year’s Pakistan Super League and played in matches against Afghanistan and New Zealand. However, after the New Zealand series, he got an elbow injury and missed subsequent events like the Asia Cup and World Cup.

Unfortunately, a wrong diagnosis and poorly done surgery in Lahore have delayed his recovery. Initially, a senior doctor from the board’s medical panel diagnosed him incorrectly, leading to wasted time on non-surgical treatments.
After a botched surgery in Lahore, his PSL franchise decided he needed a specialist in the UK. The PCB has now allowed him to go to London for further treatment, but this has angered Naqvi, who believes the board should have taken better care of Ihsan. Naqvi might take action against responsible officials.
