Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, won the coin toss and chose to field first in the fourth T20I against New Zealand at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.
The toss occurred at 7:00 PM (PST) in Lahore, with both captains, Babar Azam and Michael Bracewell, in attendance.
The series between the Men in Green and the Black Caps is currently tied at 1-1, with both teams vying for a second victory.
The outcomes of the remaining two matches on April 25 and 27 in Lahore will determine the winner of the New Zealand Tour of Pakistan series.
While the first match of the 5-game series was washed out due to rain, Pakistan secured a low-scoring victory in the second T20I.
However, New Zealand bounced back strongly in the third T20I, clinching a comfortable seven-wicket win at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday night.
Pakistan will be without star batter and wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan in Thursday’s game due to discomfort in his right hamstring. Meanwhile, New Zealand is missing key players who are participating in the IPL.

During Wednesday’s match, Pakistan captain Babar Azam stressed that the team lost collectively and not due to individual performances.
He acknowledged shortcomings in batting, bowling, and fielding in the last match but expressed confidence in fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi, calling them Pakistan’s best bowlers.
